Can you handle the heat? An exclusive interview with Singles inferno’s Oh Jin Taek
Not many can handle being deserted on a hot Island and being extremely hot! But Oh Jin Taek proved that he could handle about anything if it meant potentially finding the one. We sit down with the “singles Inferno” star to talk about his aspirations, experiences and whether he, in hindsight would still make the same choice.

You emphasized your passion for suits and your brand. Now that “Singles Inferno” has ended what are some of the up and coming personal and brand plans?
Thank you so much and luckily, I received a lot of love and attention from many people through the program, and it was an opportunity for me to increase my personal and Ascottage’s awareness. Personally, I started a new challenge called YouTube. Through the channel called Taek Brother, I would like to deliver useful information about my personal taste, daily life, and information that I have not shown in “Singles Inferno”. In addition, Ascottage will also introduce a variety of fashion products that can be worn comfortably in addition to the existing Taylor Shop suit in line with popular clothing preferences. Various cosmetics such as dress perfume, men's grooming and beauty products that create synergy with the beauty of the main custom suit will also be released. We are preparing a lot of new things, so please look forward to it.

In a Q and A interview with Sunnydahyelin, you said that “Even if it’s outside the island, I’ll choose So-yeon,” is that still true?
A man's word is golden. I'm sure you know that real men don't say two things with the same mouth. Even now, that thought remains unchanged. Since the first time I met So-Yeon in “Singles Inferno”, my choice was So-Yeon. If I appeared on “Singles Inferno” again and So-Yeon appeared in the same way, I would make the same choice.

Of the other male contestants from “Singles Inferno”, who are you the closest to?
We are all pretty close. Regardless of gender, everyone is getting along well. I think each of us are working in a variety of fields, making our relationship more fun. We exchange information that we don't know well and give helpful advice to each other. In the case of Jun-sik, who appeared on my YouTube channel, I think I contact him often because he is a younger brother who runs a brand like me. Everyone is living their lives beautifully, so regardless of age, we are learning a lot and helping each other.
From your romantic experience in “Singles Inferno”, are there romantic actions that you feel were not shown on the show? If so, what?
I usually like to write handwritten letters. I expressed my feelings to So-Yeon with my own letter, but it's a pity that it was not shown on the show.

How will you be spending your March 14th (White Day) this year?
After receiving this question, I checked my schedule. I'm scheduled to shoot that day! I was loved by many people through the program, and thanks to this, I think I will be busy with a lot of stuff at the commercial set.

Which male contestant was your favourite, and do you still get along with them?
As mentioned above, we are getting along well with all participants regardless of gender. Even now, we sometimes try to eat together or exercise together if we have time. Thankfully, in the case of the male participants, I am so grateful that they come to me and ask me if they need a suit or have any concerns related to suits. In the case of Si-hoon, whom we appeared together on my YouTube channel, I was very grateful that he relied on me a lot when making his first custom suit and accepted my opinion cutely like a younger brother. It's very difficult to pick just one participant.

If someone were to go through the “Singles Inferno” experience, what romantic and personal advice would you give them?
It may or may not be romantic advice. I personally want to tell you to keep an eye on your reason for going on the show. You should look at it without any hesitation, of course. It would be good if you thought about it in your own way.
In my case, there was a decisive reason for appearing on “Singles inferno”. I wanted to get an evaluation of my attractiveness as a person and an opportunity to confirm my charm as a person as the program was held without revealing my age or occupation, it was an opportunity to confirm my attractiveness. If you have the same thoughts as me, I think it would be better to be honest and be honest in all situations. I don't think there is anything more important than being a genuine person.

Long term, what do you want to achieve with your brand?
I would like to expand not only men's clothing but also other beauty-related business areas such as cosmetics and dress perfume. I want to produce not only clothing but also various other products that men can wear.
